5th Combat Weather Group
The 5th Combat Weather Group was activated 5 July 2022 under the 93rd Air Ground Operations Wing consolidating both the 3rd Combat Weather Squadron and 18th Combat Weather Squadron under one Group.
The 5th Combat Weather Group deliberately trains, equips, and modernizes Weather Airmen to successfully measure, communicate, and integrate weather information within tactical, contested environments.
The 5th Combat Weather Group also maintains the largest population of Airborne qualified Combat Weather Airmen in the Air Force. They also maintain the capability to deploy Combat Weather Airmen world-wide as part of the Immediate Response Force.
